Me and my friend at the feria in 2014

I am 22 years old and I am from the town of Charlottesville, in the state of Virginia. My home town has around 40,000 people, about the same size as Utrera.  My favorite things to do when I am home are to go out for coffee with friends and to go hiking.

Virginia, my home state is located in the middle of the East Coast.  It has both mountains and the beach.  The weather is a little bit more calm than Sevilla, but it still gets very hot.  It also rains, and even snows sometimes!  In Virginia we have many vineyards and apple orchards.  We also traditionally have peanuts.  In general, it is a very rich agricultural state.
I have two sisters and one brother.  Even though I am the youngest in the family, I am the tallest.  My oldest sister Kati is a doctor.  My brother Paul is a Guitarist and Social worker.  My sister Marigene is a student.
My family is very important to me.  They have inspired many of my interests, like cooking, listening to rock music, and traveling.  I think my goal for this year is to help students learn that foreign languages can be amazing keys to a whole new world.

So even though the journey of learning english may be confusing at times, let’s work through it together!  It’s going to be a great year!
